I had a really nice time at the show last Saturday - always a pleasure to play with DJMB and this time I also got to jam with (DJ) Scott Keith - he was great too. I recorded the show, which I did all HOLIDAY imagery for - so I hope I got some decent stuff and can post some clips soon (I always say that, then it takes me three months to get them up!)

I will be "off" this weekend, spending Christmas in Virginia with the in-laws, so no VJ-ing at the See Sound this week, but I will be back in time to RING IN THE NEW YEAR on Saturday the 31st. Until then:

Here's wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! May 2006 bring peace and joy to all of you.

On Saturday, some guy totally got in my face and threatened me. He kept yelling “TURN IT OFF NOW!!!” just crazy insane like. Even switching to the “Falling Snow” loop was not good enough for him. “Turn it all off or I will fuck up your equipment!” he screamed as he held his drink over my laptop. The guy really freaked me out! I actually felt quite threatened as there was absolutely no reasoning with him (where I was showing Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dancing, he was seeing my complete lack for compassion for the “starving children of the world”!) Fortunately I was able to secure my laptop and run and get a bouncer who promptly removed him from the club. But the whole ordeal lasted about 20 minutes!

Come on! What a drag - I was totally upset and completely off my groove after that. I found the whole thing to be very upsetting. I didn’t like being threatened and I didn’t like having to turn my set off, trying to appease this nutcase – the guy was out of it and it was not a simple situation where I could just tell him to FUCK OFF – the guy was a freak.

Now, with that out of the way – next time, it’s RIGHT to the bouncer – no conversing with the lunatic – seek assistance ASAP. Wiser and more seasoned, but bummed (and pissed off) it happened.

Happy December!

I think I will reorganize scobot.com for 2006 since most of my new content is all VJ related (2005 started off being more “short film” related – but I don’t do so much of that any more). I may create an “archive” page or for things like “That’s On Hog Too Many” and other non VJ works. I’m sure it will take me months to decide on a direction – so maybe it will be mid '06 before you see anything different.
